Bohinc gives thumbs-up to All-Italian Line-up

General News 10 July 2009 - The OSG Racing team will compete in this weekend’s Powerboat P1 Italian Grand Prix with an all-Italian line-up, Giovanni Carpitella replacing Hannes Bohinc to partner team owner and throttleman, Giancarlo Cangiano.  2005 World Champion, Bohinc, the team’s official driver, has decided to make way for the Italian as the team prepares for its home Grand Prix.

“Carpitella raced with me in Turkey, he is a talented racer, we promised much but an engine problem meant an unsatisfactory outcome.”  explains Austrian, Bohinc.

”Over the weekend we briefly discussed the possibility of Giovanni racing in Italy, I have reflected on this and decided that it will be good for the team at this particular event.”

“It is the home GP for OSG and Carpitella deserves another opportunity,” continues Bohinc.

“The all-Italian label is also a compelling attraction for the Italian media.
